Pleasure to (virtually) meet you. I'm Amiria, and I'm a Producer, Editor, and Production Designer living in Los Angeles, California.
Hailing from the exotic farmlands of Mid Missouri, I was raised to appreciate hard work and good BBQ. I spent four fast-paced years at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts studying Film and Television Production, where I worked on projects for NBC, ABC, and CNN. Somewhere between wrangling the Real Housewives at Bravo, helping create segments for HLN's Showbiz Tonight, and covering desks for Development Executives, I fell in love with the crazy whirlwind of the entertainment industry.
After wrapping up my degree in December 2013, I hopped in a car and headed out west to Los Angeles, where I transitioned into online media production at The Young Turks Network. Here, I honed my skills for pressing buttons and calling the shots as Technical Director and Production Coordinator of several shows under the TYT Network, supervising a five-person crew and helping the company expand into a two-television studio operation.
Most recently, I was the Production Manager of The Rubin Report, a weekly digital talk show and podcast, acting as a one-woman production crew throughout the production process. Formerly fueled by Larry King's Ora TV, The Rubin Report remains independently produced and fully fan-funded, thanks to the show’s incredibly engaged and passionate audience.
I'm not about to give up on my ultimate dream -- when I grow up, I want to be Betty White.
