Pleasure to (virtually) meet you. I'm Amiria, and I'm a Producer, Editor, and Production Designer living in Los Angeles, California.
Hailing from the exotic farmlands of Mid Missouri, I was raised to appreciate hard work and good BBQ. I spent four fast-paced years at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts studying Film and Television Production, where I worked on projects for NBC, ABC, and CNN. Somewhere between wrangling the Real Housewives at Bravo, helping create segments for HLN's Showbiz Tonight, and covering desks for Development Executives, I fell in love with the crazy whirlwind of the entertainment industry.
After wrapping up my degree in December 2013, I hopped in a car and headed out west to Los Angeles, where I transitioned into online media production at The Young Turks Network. Here, I honed my skills for pressing buttons and calling the shots as Technical Director and Production Coordinator of several shows under the TYT Network, supervising a five-person crew and helping the company expand into a two-television studio operation.
Currently, I am the Production Manager and Producer / Editor of The Rubin Report, a daily digital talk show and podcast focused on free speech, real conversation, and ideas connecting people all over the world. Here, I act as a one-woman production crew throughout the production process, from booking guests, eating graphics, designing the set to directing scenes, all the way to editing the final cuts of every interview. Formerly fueled by Larry King's Ora TV, The Rubin Report is independently produced and fully fan-funded, thanks to our incredibly engaged, passionate audience's record breaking response to our ongoing campaign on Patreon.
I'm not about to give up on my ultimate dream -- when I grow up, I want to be Betty White.
